Vivek Gupta (PhD, London) is an art historian and curator. He is Senior Research Associate in Islamic Manuscripts at Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge (from 1 October 2026). Gupta’s research and teaching lie at the intersection of Islamic and South Asian art, visual culture, and literature. His work covers a range of topics including embodied experience, transhistorical approaches, transculturation, the ludic arts, the art of the book, intermediality, intersections between art and science, and the cultures of the Indian Ocean. His first monograph is Wonders of Hindustan: Artists and books in the early modern world.
